Announcement!

I would like to make an announcement on behalf of my sister, a/k/a the Night Owl, writer and editor of The Daily Owl e-letter. It’s a writing contest for any and all to enter! See details below. (Consider this my first advertisement. And you have to pronounce that the ‘Mary Poppins’ way!)

Announcing The Daily Owl writing contest!

What to write: Something about an owl! It can be an essay on an owl, or a little children’s version of a story about a wise old owl, or any type of story as long as the word OWL is mentioned at least 10 times.

Words: Must have 300-600 words.

Registration: You must ‘register’ to enter the TDO contest by emailing The Night Owl, at limegreenpuppy (at) att (dot) net

DEADLINE: The most dreaded thing ever!!! The deadline! You must have written and emailed the story or essay to the email given above BEFORE July 14th, 2012

Bio: It is requested of you to please send a little bio of yourself along with the entry. Thank you!

Judges: Two judges have been chosen for the contest. Both are readers and are amazing at English. The entries will be presented anonymously to the two judges; together they will pick 1^st, 2^nd, and 3^rd place for the TDO contest.

Prizes: And of course there is a prize! The prize is your choice of a $5 gift-card to Starbucks or Loganberry’s.

All are welcome to enter the contest, even if they are not TDO receivers. There will be a whole TDO issue dedicated to the 1^st, 2^nd, and 3^rd, place winners, with their stories and bios. Also, there will be a list of the names of people who have entered the contest (after it is over of course).
