The Truth About the Lordship of Christ

Rich content, yet still easy to read. John MacArthur addresses the often-ignored issue of Christ not only being a believer’s Savior, but their Lord. Beginning with a look at God’s sovereignty over everything in the universe, it’s easy to see that our God wouldn’t be great if he wasn’t sovereign. If we can’t see him as Lord of our lives, then we miss his full majesty as Lord of all the world.

After stressing that topic in the first two chapters, he spends the next four explaining our position in Christ and response to the truth of Lordship. There should be an eagerness to imitate our holy God; to submit to his Lordship; to daily confess our sins in order to get right before God again; and to be assured of our salvation in Christ while at the same time examining ourselves through the on-going process of sanctification.

This was a helpful book, just again hearing the truth of my position before God in a new light. As a Christian, you can never hear too much gospel! I will definitely be reading this one again.

I received a free copy of this book from Booksneeze.com in exchange for an honest review.
