A Woman's Secret

I have never heard of Karol Ladd, but I greatly enjoyed reading her newest book, “A Woman’s Secret for Confident Living: Becoming Who God Made You to Be”. My favorite part is that it’s not a book full of a woman’s words and advice, it’s full of Scripture.

Using the book of Colossians as a springboard, Karol discusses the different truths and lies that either lead us to or keep us from a God-confidence. I love how she addresses each and every verse in Colossians, not even skipping the “ending credits”! There is so much to learn from Paul’s letter, and Karol does a great job extracting the truth.

Each chapter is wrapped up with additional Scripture reading, a summary of that chapter, and practical ways to live out the confidence-building principles.

This would be a great book to partner up with a friend, or to use for a group, especially since there are discussion questions and a place for taking notes in the back of the book.

Even better than leaving me with a desire to find another book by her, it left me wanting to read more of God’s Word!
