The Truth About Forgiveness

Like the other two books in “The Truth About” series by John MacArthur, this one is well-written and thought-provoking, though not a heavy read.

MacArthur writes a gentle yet firm reminder of why we need God’s forgiveness, why God wants and acts to forgive, and why there’s nothing we can do to earn His forgiveness. He explains how the story of the prodigal son can be read as a metaphor of our rebellion to God, and undeserved forgiveness from our Father.

It is humbling to reflect on how unworthy I am of God’s mercy and love, yet He chooses to show it to me in spite of my sin. Forgiveness is just another part of God’s plan to receive glory for His merciful name.

This little book is well worth reading. Over and over.

I received a copy of this book from Booksneeze.com in exchange for this honest review.
